Booking Now for School Shows 2024-2025 Musical Ventriloquism Fun

As a ventriloquist I am grateful to be able to do what I love! We have spent the past few months performing at schools all over British Columbia, and Magrau the bird puppet and Kamilla the frog puppet loved being hugged, high-fived and treated so well by students who asked me, “How did the puppets talk by themselves?”

It’s almost summer and we are booking school performances for the rest of 2024, 2025 and beyond!

In addition to the live performances of A Birdy Told Me So, A Space to Play and Laughing Out Loud, we also enjoy bringing bags of materials into your schools for puppet-making workshops, where each student can create a unique puppet with their own individual identity! It’s a fun way to develop social emotional learning and artistic expression. Often the puppetry continues and grows after we leave the schools. Newly created student puppets can even find their way into performances with Kamilla, Magrau and me!

Puppets can bring out voices that people didn’t know were there. Puppets also tell stories and can assist the student in sharing their own perspectives. Our shows and workshops include curriculum content for K-7 and are often custom-tailored to meet the needs of your school.

Thank you to the staff and students who we met in school gymnasiums and classrooms this past year. Have a great summer everyone! We hope to perform in new schools who have not yet seen our work and come back to schools where we have performed in the past. Feel free to call or email us!

What educators have to say about our work:

“When Kellie Haines performed this week, many students thought that she was using some type of electronic generated voice to bring her characters to life. I think ventriloquism is another type of magic and I love that reality can be suspended in these moments. … I am thankful that Kellie brought magic to us this week and I hope that by making their own puppets, some of our students will experience the transcendence that creative play can bring.” 2024 Mr. Sean Della Vedova Principal – Central Community School, Port Coquitlam, BC.

“Thanks Kellie, our school thoroughly enjoyed the performance. All the staff and students were talking about after you had finished. They expressed how talented you are to go between singing and acting and ventriloquism. You are amazing. We would highly recommend your show to an audience. Your songs were catchy and the show is thoroughly entertaining.”  School District 23 Block Tour 2024 – 35 shows. Lindsey Hamilton Principal – Ecole Hudson Road Elementary West Kelowna, BC.
